White mountain tops embraced by soft pink skies along the lower Skeena River. I never get tired of the scenery in between Terrace and Prince Rupert BC. Everytime I travel this road it looks different, and each time I think I fall in love with the area a little more.
A lone gull wings along the Skeena River estuary on a low tide.
Harvesting Eulachon. Its the beginning of the Eulachon (Oolichan) season in the Skeena River. Eulachon are small oily fish that make their way up the Skeena River to spawn in late winter / early spring. Observing this event is one of my favorite signs of spring.
